Topics include microbial ecology of plants and animals, aquatic microbial ecology (including medical implications), soil microbial ecology, biodegradation, microbial insecticides, gastrointestinal microbiology, microbiology of foods and environmental problems management. Each student will be required to complete an independent research project.
