CHEM 680 Quantum Mechanics Credit 3 This course will cover Schrödinger’s Equation, particles in a potential well, angular momentum, variation method, and time-independent perturbation theory. It will also discuss the application of quantum mechanical principles to current problems in chemistry such as: thermodynamic properties of gases, chemical bonding, the Born-Oppenheimer Approximation, and molecular spectra.
