AGME 283 ENGINEERING PRINCIPLES AND TECHNOLOGIES APPLIED TO AGRICULTURE (AGME 283)Credit 3 This course provides training in the engineering principles and technologies applied in agriculture. It prepares students to solve problems related to agricultural production and processing systems and managing and conserving farmland and water resources. Moreover, this course will introduce the latest technologies related to soil sciences, agronomy, horticulture, crop protection, genetics, animal sciences, food production, and related fields. Emphasis will also be on using precision agriculture technologies, including soil and water conservation, geographic information systems (GIS), automated agriculture operations, machinery, greenhouses, and new animal and veterinary sciences technologies. Two hours lecture and two hours laboratory per week.
