The course is interdisciplinary in nature with empahsis on preparing graduates for productive personal and professional lives.  Course content includes the following:  Orientation to the University; the role and responsibilities of the students.  The student as a member of the University team; expectations of the faculty and staff; effective study techniques; time management, conflict management; stress management; test taking skills and learning style assessment; determination/perseverance, time on task and help-seeking are emphasized.  The faculty facilitatior relies heavily on guest lectures for selected topics Satisfies GEN ED Area VI: Emerging Issues.
