Psychology is the scientific study of behavior and mental processes. A minor in Psychology provides students with the fundamentals in scientific methods used to describe, predict, understand and explain human behavior. A psychology minor can serve as an excellent complement to a variety of majors and can provide a basic background necessary for students interested in psychology careers or other professions that require an understanding of human behavior.

Minor Requirements
Students desiring a minor in Psychology must complete a minimum of 18 hours from the courses listed below with a grade of ‘C’ or better in each course. At least nine (9) credits must be earned at UMES and at least nine (9) credits must be taken from UMES courses designated as PSYC. No requirements for the minor may be taken as Pass/Fail.
