MATH 304 History of Mathematics and Computer Science

Credit 3
This course covers the historical and cultural development of mathematics and computer science from ancient times to the present. Emphasis is placed on the development of mathematical reasoning, style, philosophy, and techniques within cultural settings, growth of computer hardware and software; and developmental styles of applications. Prerequisite(s): A grade of ‘C’ or better in MATH 109  or MATH 110  or MATH 111 .
