BIOL 464 Medical and Veterinary Entomology

This course provides a study of the arthropod (especially insects) species that are an economically important pest, and vectors of diseases of man and domesticated animals. Epidemiological aspects of zoonotic diseases are discussed. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 111  (grade of C or better), and BIOL 112  (grade of C or better), or BIOL 261 , or consent of the instructor. This course is comprised of three hours lecture and one four-hour laboratory per week. Laboratory fee required.
