SOCI 202 Social Deviance and Social Control

Theories of deviance causation and their relevance to analysis of particular types of deviance, such as suicide, mental illness, addiction, sexual deviance are discussed. Investigation of the relationships between deviant and the social reaction of such behavior is the focus of the class. Prerequisite(s): SOCI 101 or SOCI 201.
