EDTE 361 Manufacturing TechnologiesCredit 3 This course is a study of the principles of manufacturing goods, processes, and systems within the context of the designed world. Personnel management, organizational structures, durable and non-durable goods, product design, interchangeability, and product marketing are covered. Students research and select products suitable of mass-production using an enterprise system. Emphasis is placed on the manufacturing design process. The social, cultural and economic problems and benefits are also examined. Prerequisite(s): Junior standing. Lecture two hours. Laboratory two hours.
