ARTS 211 Art History ICredit 3 Marvel at the artistic achievements of Ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, Rome and Early Europe, which form the foundation of today’s visual culture. Learn the compelling stories behind great works of art and architecture of the past. How and why were the pyramids built? Did the ancient Romans really use concrete to build the Pantheon? Note: Honors sections are restricted to students in the Honors Program. Prerequisite(s): ARTS 101 with a grade of C or better Lecture three hours. Lab Fees: $35
