CHEM 102 General Chemistry IICredit 3 Online This course provides an introduction to organic and biological chemistry and includes lectures on carbon chemistry, organic nomenclature, basic organic reactions, saccharides, amino acids, proteins, and DNA. This course is recommended for the non-science major, pre-health professionals (including nursing students and nutrition majors), agriculture, and home economists majors. Pre/Corequisite(s): CHEM 101 or equivalent Satisfies GEN ED Area III: Biological and Physical Sciences. Note: Students requiring a laboratory-based course must also register for CHEM 104 .
