ENVS 333 Energy, Environment and EconomicsCredit 3 This course examines the scientific, social, and economic factors affecting energy consumption in the United States and world-wide. The effects of global energy production on the environment are emphasized as well as the potential effects of new energy sources. Because of the potential political, social and economic ramifications, the course involves discussions and readings into the role of these factors in influencing regional and global patterns of energy consumption and resultant environmental change. Prerequisite(s): PHYS 122 , ENVS 221 .
