EXSC 265 Contemporary Issues in Kinesiology

Credit 3
This course provides opportunities for students to investigate and learn first-hand information about developing issues in the area of Kinesiology. These topics include social activism in the Olympics, drugs and doping in sports, youth fitness and sports, sports business and industry, student-athlete issues, and new scientific findings and technologies in Kinesiology. Students will also discuss topics relating to equality, diversity, and inclusion in sports with various types of discrimination revolving around age, gender, race, religion, disability, and others. Students will research and exchange ideas through class discussions.
