HIST 460 Russia: From 1600 to the Present

Credit 3
This course will examine the transformation of Russia from a feudal civilization to a military superpower. Attention is given to Tsarist Russia, to the Communist Revolution of 1917, Communist Russia, and the post-Communist Russian Federation. The economic, social, political, religious, and cultural developments of Russia during major historic periods will be studied. Prerequisite(s): One 100/200 level history course.
