SOCI 490 Sociological Internship

Credit 3
Approved students are assigned to approved agencies or organizations for orientation and experience in a sociological field under the guidance of a trained professional, as well as a member of the University faculty. Prior to going out and after return, students attend a seminar. Students present an extended paper on their internship experience. Prerequisite(s): Thirty hours of Sociology, Senior Standing, cumulative grade point average of 2.25 or better, and permission of supervising instructor. Senior sociology majors only.
