SWAH 202 Intermediate Swahili IICredit 3 This course encourages students to read, write, and think about the history, cultures, and languages of Swahili people, as students build on previous understanding of East Africa and the Indian Ocean world. This course helps students understand that Swahili is a window into the Indian Ocean world of Arabic and other African, Asian, and European languages. Through understanding more about Swahili people, their history, and their culture, students can experience more of another half of the world. Students can continue having fun making mistakes as they enjoy learning to speak, read, write, and understand more Swahili language. Prerequisite(s): HIST 275 or any SWAHILI course
