CHIN 201 Intermediate Chinese

Credit 3
This course is a continuation of Intermediate spoken and written Mandarin, the language with the largest number of native speakers in the world, which is the official language of mainland China and Taiwan, and one of the official languages of Singapore. This course stresses equal importance on listening, speaking, reading, writing, as well as Chinese culture, and it will be conducted primarily in Mandarin. Through a variety of classroom activities, students will be able to build upon what they learn in Mandarin 201, continue honing all four skills of Mandarin language, and increase confidence in dealing with complex contexts and different registers.  Prerequisite(s): CHIN 101  and CHIN 102
