ESOL 102 ESL Writing Skills II

This course is a continuation of ESOL 101. Emphasis is on the progressive development of basic English sentence structure, paragraph construction, and essay writing skills. Building upon the foundation established in ESOL 101, this course aims to enhance the academic English proficiency of English language learners with a particular emphasis on strengthening writing skills. Throughout the course, students will deepen their understanding of grammar rules and sentence structures, cultivate academic vocabulary and collocations, and refine their academic writing abilities through a variety of exercises. By the end of the course, students will have gained confidence in academic writing and will be able to produce more coherent and grammatically accurate compositions in English. Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of ESOL 101 with a grade of C or higher or instructor permission
