Biology-General/Pre-Physical Therapy/Pre-Allied Health Track Semester by Semester

Students in this track should take Human Anatomy and Physiology I & II, with laboratory – BIOL 231 , BIOL 232 , BIOL 233 & BIOL 234 as free electives. They are required by the Department of Physical Therapy, for admission to the UMES PharmD program and for admission to most allied health transfer or post-graduate degree programs. However, they do not apply toward the BS degree in Biology and hence are not included among the required courses given below.

1Students who place into MATH 099 will need to pass that course with a grade of C or higher before enrolling in MATH 109 .
2The English Proficiency Examination is given at the end of the semester. A student must enroll in ENGL 001 prior to enrolling in ENGL 102 .
3CSDP may be substituted for CSDP 121 or BUED 212 .
4Students may take BIOL 498 for 1 to 3 credit hours a semester; but they must repeat the course to accumulate the 3 credit hours required by the program.
