BIOL 471 Ichthyology

This course will cover the taxonomy, evolution and ecology of fishes.  The course covers fish patterns of distribution from both an historical and contemporary perspective. Emphasis is placed on the taxonomy and ecology of the marine, estuarine and freshwater fishes of the mid-Atlantic.  This is offered as a combined undergraduate and graduate course.  Prerequisite(s): BIOL 211  or permission of instructor. Corequisite(s): BIOL 473  Ichthyology Laboratory
