ARTS 212 Art History IICredit 3 Great art, and great stories go hand-in-hand. How and why was the art and architecture of the past 600 years created? Why are these works of art important and relevant today? How can the past be a resource for contemporary artists? We will examine the form, content and context of art, providing a deeper understanding of masterpieces. Note: Honors sections are restricted to students in the Honors Program. Lecture three hours. Studio fees $35. Prerequisite(s): ARTS 211 with a grad eof C or better Lecture three hours.
