BMEN 265 Biomaterials

Credit 3
Introduction to bioengineering material such as metals, ceramics, polymers, carbons, and composites as well as their applications in biomedical devices and implants. The biomedical applications of the biomaterials in several areas including tissue engineering, drug delivery, orthopedic implants, ophthalmologic devices, and cardiovascular devices will be covered in this course. Prerequisite(s): CHEM 112  and BIOL 111  and Biomedical Engineering Major
