Biology-Biomedical and Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Track Semester by Semester


Students in the Biomedical and Pre-Medical or Pre-Dental track programs should take the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) or Dental Admission Test (DAT) during the Spring semester of the academic year preceding the year in which admission to medical school is sought. Applications to medical/dental schools should be made no later than the fall of the senior year. Cell Biology, Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy, Physiology, Embryology and Histology are Biology program electives selected in this track. These courses will build a solid foundation for courses taken in the first year of medical school.

NOTE: PreMed students are strongly advised to work with their advisors to identify the appropriate Biology elective courses. Highly recommended courses include:  Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy,  Introductory Physiology,  Cell Biology,  Cell Biology Lab, and  General Endocrinology.
