Aviation Maintenance Technician, Powerplant

The Aviation Maintenance Technician - Powerplant Upper Division Certificate focuses on aircraft engines and engine systems. Students will learn about the principles of engine operation, fuel systems, ignition systems, lubrication systems, and engine instrumentation. They will also learn how to diagnose problems, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventative maintenance on engines. The curriculum includes both classroom and practical instruction, which may include disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of aircraft engines.
