BIOL 361 Animal BehaviorCredit 4 This course investigates the concepts and applications of animal behavior, with emphasis on the evolutionary basis of behavior. Topics include both proximate influences on behavior and adaptive perspectives on reproductive and social behavior. The laboratory component of this course includes bench work and fieldwork to illustrate specific concepts. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 111 (grade of C or higher), and BIOL 112 (grade of C or higher) and BIOL 211 /BIOL 213 is recommended. This course is comprised of two hours of lecture per week, three hours of laboratory, and one hour of discussion per week. Laboratory fee required.
